ModernTV App Update: Faster, More Intuitive and Visually Attractive
At ModernTV, we never stop improving our application to make your viewing experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. This time, we focused on the visual design and are introducing several new features that every user will appreciate.
New Tiles for Better Navigation
Instead of the previous card zoom effect, we have introduced a frame highlight. This makes navigating through the content much easier and also speeds up the entire app. The result is a modern, faster, and more user-friendly homescreen and VOD section, where each title stands out more clearly.
The use of different tile sizes enriches the catalogs, making browsing content more intuitive and visually engaging.
Genre Collections and Custom Collections
Another new feature is the Genre Collections – a brand-new category that gives users quick access to their favorite types of content, such as drama, comedy, or documentaries.
In addition, we’ve added the option to create custom collections – for example, sports matches, movie series, or thematically connected shows. This way, you can keep your favorite content easily accessible.
Currently, this feature is available on AndroidTV, but we are planning to expand it to other TV platforms soon.

The original look of the tiles before the redesign. Overall, it felt rather uniform and monotonous, so it was necessary to refresh the design and make navigation clearer, helping viewers choose what to watch more easily.
Big backdrop
A full-screen layout with striking background artwork that immerses viewers directly in the atmosphere of the title. This format is ideal for highlighting premieres, recommended shows, or favorite channels that deserve maximum visibility.
Carousel
A large horizontal element that allows smooth scrolling through titles. With its prominent design, it is best suited for presenting new releases and eye-catching content that should grab the audience’s attention right away.
